Getting Started

Patient Forms

We request that you fill our patient forms located in the New Patient Center prior to your appointment. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition.

Your First Visit -- Consultation And Examination

Your initial consultation with Dr. Morrone will help her learn more about your unique health history, your current health concerns, and your expectations.  She can then determine how chiropractic care can help you meet your health and wellness goals.

After your consultation, Dr. Morrone will perform a complete chiropractic examination.  State of the art computerized tests of your spinal and nerve function will be performed, as well as a series of neurological and orthopedic tests to evaluate strength and flexibility.  All examination procedures will be explained, and nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

X-Ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to order x-rays or MRIs to get a full evaluation of your condition. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.  If you have films or test results from other health care providers, please let us know.

Your Second Visit -- Report of Findings

Once all the information and examinations have been performed, Dr.  Morrone schedule a Report of Findings appointment to answer the three most common questions:

  1. Can you help me?
  2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
  3. How much is it going to cost?

After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, Dr.  Morrone will discuss specific recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If Dr. Morrone believes she can help you, she will recommend treatment and a wellness program.

Treatment

Patients will generally be provided with their first adjustment after the report of findings. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.  Dr. Morrone will explain all treatments in detail, and will discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

Getting Well and Staying Well...

Prior to leaving, patients will be instructed on a wellness program to be conducted at home.  This  may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.  As you get healthier, we will work with you to create good habits and routines that support your success.  The foundation of an overall wellness lifestyle is maintaining healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, taking supplements, keeping your weight under control and stress management.
